Transponder keys

Transponder keys

We now stock transponder or chip keys for many vehicles.

How can I program it to my vehicle ??
  • Purchase the key or keys from us.
  • You will receive the key within days.
  • You will need to have the key CUT to match your existing key. You new transponder key will need to be programmed to your vehicle before it would work. In some cases, you will just have to have the key cut, and follow some easy to follow instructions to program your new key to the vehicle(you will need a existing key that starts the vehicle). Some vehicles can be only be  programmed by the dealer or a locksmith, in the case, just take the key, and any other keys that work with the vehicle to your local dealer, or locksmith. You are already saving BIG MONEY, because your local dealer will charge $50 or more just for a blank key!

Honda vehicles don’t have OBP (on board programming) and no instruction for programming like Toyota, ford, GM ,...

IMPORTANT: SOME KEYS MAY COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO PROGRAM, IF THE ITEM DESCRIPTION DOESN’T STATE THAT INSTRUCTIONS ARE INCLUDED, THEN YOU WILL NEED TO SEE A LOCKSMITH OR YOUR LOCAL DEALER.

TRANSPONDER OR CHIP KEY DEFINITION:
  •  RFID Key (Radio Frequency Identification).
  •  PATS Key (Passive Anti-Theft System).
  •  Transponder Key (Transmit + Responder = Transponder).
Why do I need to purchase a  transponder key?
  • A transponder is a benign electronic device implanted in the head of a key which remains dormant until awakened by energy derived from its close proximity to an induction coil/antenna at the threshold of a vehicle’s ignition lock. When a transponder becomes energized by the ignition lock being turned ON, it transmits a unique Alfa/numeric identity code back to the antenna coil and the on-board computer - for comparison with values stored in the computer’s memory. If the RF transmission from the transponder is an exact match then the engine can be started.

If you purchase a key that is NOT a transponder key, and cut the blade to match your current key, the new key will open the doors, but won’t let you start the vehicle, so why waste your time? If you ever loose your key, you still won’t be able to start or move your vehicle, it will need to be towed to the dealer, even more cost. Spend the extra few dollars and be PREPARED! A little now will save your HUNDREDS of dollars later.

I recently went to my local dealer to buy a remote, the dealer wanted $98 for a remote, plus they told me I had to have the service department program it for another $40!! A friend of mine told me to check your site out and I was surprised to find your site had everything the dealer had for a 1/4 of the price! I was even more surprised that how quickly I was able to program the remote to my truck. Thanks for saving me a lot of money. - Andy J. Austin, TX
